Green Zone is a thriller that takes place in the Green Zone and nearby in Iraq during post-invasion Iraq, 2003 by the United States and allies.

General Al-Rawi (Yigal Naor), in hiding in Baghdad, is meeting with his aides talking about the invasion of Iraq. Many of his aides propose fighting other Iraqi forces and American forces, however Al-Rawi suggests that they remain where they are and wait until the Americans arrive and perhaps make the Iraqi army an offer to join their forces.

Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Matt Damon) and his squad investigate a warehouse, believed to be holding Weapons of Mass Destruction. After encounters with a sniper and scanning the warehouse for radioactive activity, they find that the warehouse is empty, with the exception of an old piece of mechanical equipment. After regrouping with his squad, Roy Miller starts to question the intel given to him.

At a debriefing, Miller brings up the point that the majority of the intel given to him is inaccurate and anonymous, stating that on his last three attempts to find WMDs, his team had come up with nothing. High-ranking officials quickly debunk Miller's theory that the intelligence is false.

Meanwhile, Clark Poundstone (Greg Kinnear) is welcoming Ahmed Zubadi (Raad Rawi) an Iraqi politician at Saddam International Airport, where he is interrogated by journalist Lawrie Dayne (Amy Ryan). She asks if she could speak to "Magellan", to which Poundstone says that he is heavily "locked up".

After the debriefing, Miller meets Martin Brown (Brendan Gleeson), an employee of the CIA, who tells Miller that the next place he is going to investigate for WMDs is also empty, as a team had already searched there months ago. Brown suggests that the intelligence he is being given is part of a cover-up.

Whilst investigating another site, a playground where WMDs are thought to be buried, Miller is approached by a man who calls himself "Freddie" (Khalid Abdalla), who tells Miller that he saw Al-Rawi at the meeting in a nearby house. Miller and his men swiftly go to the house and after Al-Rawi narrowly escaped, they take one of his henchmen into custody, who happens to have a book containing the addresses of Al-Rawi's safehouses, but before Miller can extract any more information the man is taken by Special Forces, sent by Poundstone.

Miller goes to Brown's hotel to give him the notebook and tell him of what took place, and then Brown tells Miller to go and retrieve the man taken by the Special Forces and offer him $1 million dollars in exchange for co-operation. Before leaving, he is approached by Wall Street Journal correspondent Lawrie Dayne, who hands him her card if Miller should wish to disclose any information later on. When he gets to the prison where the informant is held, the man is in desperate need of medical attention due to interrogation, and after Miller suspects that Al-Rawi might be Magellan, the man responds with the word "Jordan" after Miller asks him about Al-Rawi's whereabouts in the run up to the invasion.

With Brown's help, Miller's suspicions are confirmed and it is discovered that Al-Rawi met with Poundstone in February in Jordan as Poundstone's inside man. Miller then goes in pursuit of Al-Rawi, and is kidnapped by his men. Al-Rawi tells Miller that he told Poundstone there had been no WMD programme since the First Gulf War, and the viewer learns that Poundstone lied to his superiors in Washington so that they would invade anyway.

Al-Rawi then flees as the Iraqi Army is disbanded by the Americans and the Special Forces learn of his location and are trying to kill him. After a struggle, Miller pursues him and offers him a deal if he goes with him back to Brown. At this point Freddie shoots Al-Rawi, saying it is not Miller's choice.

At a meeting the next day where the three Iraqi denominations are trying to broker a deal, Miller confronts Poundstone with what he found out and gives him a strongly-worded report of how the whole invasion was based on a lie. Poundstone denies any knowledge of meeting Al-Rawi or lying about the existence of WMDs but instead tells Miller "We're not stopping", in reference to America's push for democracy in Iraq. Miller violently grabs Poundstone but the encounter is split up by security guards. Poundstone then rejoins the Iraqi meeting, only to find it breaking down completely. After Miller e-mails his report to Dayne and many major news corporations and newspapers in the western world to expose the scandal. The camera then pans out to show Miller driving off on a Iraqi highway in a military humvee, with the Iraqi oil fields in the background.

And then v caught up to chia zheng and tat shing at about 1.30 coz the were in skul .. then v went to redbox.. thats where me n brian ate our lunch .. then at bout 4.30 we went for our second movie!EDGE OF DARKNESS!!!! by Martin Campbell .. I m  a Big Fan of Mel Gibson so ! rocks on this movie was very nice i would give arate or 9 over 10 ! its was a bit sad coz his daughter was shot wit a shotgun right in front of his very eyes!!
By moonlight, three bodies float to the surface of the western Massachusetts stretch of the Connecticut river. At South Station, Boston, Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) picks up his daughter, Emma (Bojana Novakovic), who has returned home to visit. She throws up, while getting into Thomas' car. At home, as he prepares a meal, Emma starts a nosebleed and vomits violently and as they hurriedly leave to find a hospital, a masked gunman yells, “Craven,” and fires two shotgun blasts at Emma simultaneously. Blasted through the door, she dies in Thomas' arms.
At first, everyone believes that Thomas, a police detective, was the gunman's target, but when Thomas finds Emma had a pistol in her night stand, he starts to suspect that Emma was an intended target. He checks the ownership of the pistol and finds that it belongs to her boyfriend David (Shawn Roberts). David is frightened of the company Northmoor where Emma worked and Thomas discovers that Emma became aware that Northmoor was manufacturing nuclear weapons, intended to be traced to foreign nations if they are used as dirty bombs. Following the failed break-in of the activists, Emma was poisoned with thallium through a carton of organic milk. Burning her effects in his lawn, Thomas encounters Jedburgh (Ray Winstone), a "consultant" tasked to prevent Craven from discovering Emma's information, or kill him. Liking each other, instead, Jedburgh leaves Thomas to investigate. Throughout the film, Thomas repeatedly imagines he hears and sees his daughter, even having short conversations and interactions with her.

Thomas also has several encounters with Northmoor mercenaries, and he eventually discovers through Emma's activist contact that Jack Bennett (Danny Huston), head of Northmoor, ordered the murder of his daughter, as well as the activists Emma was working with to steal evidence of the illegal nuclear weapons. Northmoor personnel kill a hitman marked as a fall guy after he is set up for killing Emma's boyfriend, and attempt to murder another activist who gave Emma's information to Thomas. After confronting a lawyer and Senator that Emma contacted, revealing that they know almost everything that happened, Bennett has Northmoor operatives allow Thomas to be poisoned with thallium, as his daughter had been.
Thomas, now very sick, arrives at Bennett's house and kills the mercenaries, one of whom Thomas realizes is the man who shot his daughter. Bennett shoots Thomas, but Thomas tackles Bennett and pulls out the radioactive milk. He forces it down Bennett's throat and collapses. Bennett runs to his cabinet to get pills to counteract the radioactivity but Tom drags himself over and shoots Bennett through the throat.
Thomas is hospitalized for the gunshot wounds and radioactive poisoning. Jedburgh, who is revealed to be suffering from a terminal illness, meets with Moore, the Senator (for whom he had been working) and a political advisor. He listens to their suggestions as to how to play the Northmoor incident in a positive light. He tells them that he is done and then suggests an assassination attempt on the Senator should be the feature story, to drive Bennett’s death out of the tabloids. They are happy to go along with the story until Jedburgh tells the senator that he is on the wrong side of the equation. Jedburgh then pulls out his gun and shoots all three men dead before a young Massachusetts State Trooper comes in, gun drawn. Jedburgh gets the drop on the trooper and asks if the young man has a family and kids. The young man says yes and Jedburgh lowers his gun, and is instantly shot and killed by the trooper.
As Thomas lies dying in the hospital, we see Emma walk into his room, then lean down at his bedside and whisper in his ear. Across town, a young reporter opens a letter from Thomas with DVDs revealing the conspiracy, with Thomas's “good luck” wishes, ensuring the company's end. As he dies, Emma comforts him. Then the father and daughter leave the hospital together, walking down the corridor into a bright, white light.

well how would u feel if u daughter or son dies in ur very hands!
